Police in Wellington have removed a cordon from a suburban shopping mall saying an object discovered in a car park there was not an explosive.
[image:3518:half:right]The cordon was put in place after a member of the public discovered the object at the Karori mall.
The car park was closed and a Defence Force bomb disposal unit called in to assess it.
Sergeant Aidan Ellims could not say what the object was, but ruled it out as being an explosive and a risk to the public.
