A woman is being treated in Gisborne Hospital for moderate injuries after a quad bike accident at Tuai in the Wairoa District.
Emergency services staff say the 25-year-old was riding the bike uphill when she lost control of it, and the vehicle rolled backwards over her on Wednesday.
The woman injured her back and stomach and was flown by rescue helicopter to hospital.
