All Blacks captain Richie McCaw will not play in Saturday's Tri-Nations rugby Test against Australia in Sydney.
McCaw returned to training with the All Blacks this week, but has not recovered sufficiently from an ankle sprain sustained in a Test against England last month.
Daniel Braid will start in the number 7 jersey - it is his first match for the All Blacks in five years. Rodney So'oialo will again lead the side.
