Tonga latest to experience dengue problems

The latest Pacific nation to report problems with dengue is Tonga with the ministry of health confirming their second recorded case of the year.

Both cases were reported to Vaiola Hospital in Nuku'alofa this month.

Radio Tonga reports health authorities calling on the public to reduce the threat of dengue by eliminating mosquito breeding areas.

Dengue has struck French Polynesia, Fiji, Vanuatu, the Cook Islands and Kiribati this year.
