The American Samoa governor Lolo Matalasi Moliga has been released from a hospital in Washington DC.
Lolo was admitted to the George Washington University Hospital last month while on a diplomatic trip there, and underwent a heart procedure.
His office has yet to reveal specific details of the illness, but other sources in the US said it was a heart issue.
The governor's executive assistan, Iulogologo Joseph Pereira, says Lolo was discharged on Friday afternoon and he was doing well.
