The Fiji Warriors hopes of a sixth straight Pacific Rugby Cup title were boosted following Monday's 36-24 triumph over the Force A team in Brisbane.

The Warriors, who lost their opening PRC clash to the Reds A team, scored their first try after the half-time siren to lead by one point at the break and finished strongly with 23 second-half points against the previously unbeaten Force.

Meanwhile applications closed on Monday for the Flying Fijians head coaching job.

The Fiji Rugby Union sacked former coach Inoke Male in January and a new appointment is expected to be in place in time for June's Pacific Nations Cup.
