Three people have died in a series of ethnic clashes in the Papua New Guinea capital, Port Moresby, since Saturday.
The National reports one man from Enga died on Saturday when Engans and people from Goilala clashed after getting involved in a dispute between two neighbours.
In a separate incident on Tuesday, two men died following a clash between people from Enga and the Western Highlands.
Police say a Western Highlander was hacked to death in his taxi, which was parked outside a supermarket in Gerehu.
The National Capital District Commander, Superintendent Perou N'Dranou, says an Engan man was later killed in what appears to have been a revenge attack.
