The coordinator of the cyclone response team in Papua New Guinea's Milne Bay says a supply boat will leave on Monday for the outer islands.
After criticism from local MP Gordon Wesley, Eric Balaria says progress after Cyclone Ita is slow because it takes three days to clear the money.
He says the 57 bales of rice on their way to Wari island were funded by the island itself.
He says a helicopter left today for Misima Island to take two people to hospital in Alotau, after they waited days for medical attention.
Mr Balaria says drums of supplies will go out tomorrow with the helicopter, and they are asking for more help.
"The only biggest problem is money but since we have some money made available to us from the National Disaster Centre, I'm utilising that money to purchase some emergency supplies and as well as that I'm also sending out to other islands who can be able to supply local food, including seedlings, so we can help our people."
Eric Balaria says he can't confirm there were any deaths from the cyclone, after Gordon Wesley said a woman and her child had died on Sudest Island.
