A man was arrested in the Northern Marianas on Friday for allegedly stealing three fruit bats and one coconut crab from the Saipan Zoo last month and earlier this month.
The 25-year-old, Ignacio Camacho, was served with an arrest warrant on charges of illegal possession of an endangered or threatened species and theft.
In a court hearing on Tuesday he was given bail on a bond of 25 thousand US dollars.
