The top Papua New Guinea lawyer sacked as Attorney General by the Prime Minister yesterday says he's yet to be formally notified of his removal.
Peter O'Neill told local media yesterday that he sacked Kerenga Kua because he spoke out publicly against the latest constitutional amendments the government is making.
The Central Province MP Ano Pala has been appointed as the new Attorney General.

In his electorate in the Highlands province of Chimbu, Mr Kua says he has only heard of his removal through others.
"What I propose to do is to return to Port Moresby tomorrow and see the Prime Minister and be formally notified of any decision that has been made, that he has made."
Kerenga Kua has urged calm from all involved in the legal battle around police attempts to question the Prime Minister about his alleged role in illegal payments to the Paraka law firm.
He has cautioned decision makers to refrain from misusing their power in order to preserve their own position.
