Samoa women's coach Euini Lale Faumuina has reminded his players that further acts of ill discipline will not be tolerated after learning the hard way in their Rugby World Cup opener.
The Manusina were thrashed 65-3 at the weekend by the world's top-ranked team, England, in Paris.
The result wasn't helped by a red card to fullback Soteria Pulumu in just the 12th minute for a tip tackle, while number eight Helen Collins was sin-binned early in the second half, reducing the Samoans to 13 players for a ten minute spell.
The Manusina face fourth-ranked Canada on Wednesday morning and Euini Lale Faumuina says he's made it clear to the players such behaviour is not acceptable.
"It's a reminder to all the players in the team that this kind of behaviour - or these kind of tackles - is not tolerated at this high level, especially at a World Cup. If it does happen then obviously you've got to pay the consequences. The IRB are trying to clean up the image of the game and we've just got to support their ruling".
Pulumu is suspended for the Canada game and Faumuina says Samoa is still deciding if they will appeal.
Their final group match is against Spain on Sunday.
