The Fiji police says it is seeking the assistance of Interpol to investigate gruesome footage of men being shot on the high seas.
A video appeared on the internet on Monday amid speculation the shot men shown floating among wreckage were Fijian.
A spokesperson for the Fiji police, Atunaisa Sokomuri, says it is too early to make any definite statements on the matter.
"There is no clear evidence to identify the victims as Fijian citizens nor is there a clear indication of where and when this gruesome incident took place."
Atunaisa Sokomuri says the Fiji police are also seeking the help of neighbouring police forces to establish the full facts of the case.
