Sport: Lupe Ole Soaga only thinking about winning

Lupe Ole Soaga insist they will take the same approach into their final match at the Oceania Champions League Preliminary in Apia, regardless of what happens before them.

The Samoan football champions won both of their previous matches and are three points clear of Tonga's Lotoha'apai United, who must win the early match against Puaikura FC from the Cook Islands to keep their title hopes alive.

If they don't, Lupe will be crowned champions without kicking a ball but team president Taimalelagi Fiti Aimaasu says whatever happens they want to end on a positive note.

"I think the mentality for us as the management of this team right now, having had great support from our home fans, this would be a good chance to give something back for them. Whatever outcome the first match will be we will just be planning to put our strongest team forward for our final match against [FC Samoa Korean Baptist Church from] American Samoa."

The Preliminary winner will join 11 other clubs from Oceania in the O-League main draw in Fiji in April.
