More talks on a possible alliance between the Mana and Internet parties will have to wait for another day.

The Mana Party said Internet Party founder Kim Dotcom was to have been its guest at a Te Arawa kapa haka competition in Rotorua on Saturday but withdrew for family reasons.

Mana said it was going to be an opportunity for Mr Dotcom to meet with senior members of the party executive and continue discussing ways the two parties could work together.

Mana's leader Hone Harawira and president Annette Sykes were at the competition, where it was announced Ms Sykes would stand for Waiariki.
