The Labour Party says that if it is elected to Government it will spend more than $180 million to get unemployed youths into work or training, by the end of its first term .
Labour's Employment, Skills and Training spokesperson, Grant Robertson, announced an employment package in Christchurch on Monday afternoon.
He said the package will focus on youths under 20 and includes initiatives such as apprenticeship subsidies and increased funding for secondary school's career guidance.
Labour will re-jig careers advice and spend $17 million improving career guidance and support within secondary schools.
