The Government is launching a new programme to better track changes in the skilled labour market.
Jobs Online monitors vacancies advertised on all the main internet job sites, tracking skilled jobs at an occupational, regional and industry level.
This allows for greater insight into where demand is for certain jobs, and where there are skill shortages.
The Department of Labour will publish the monthly figures as an index.
