The Government still hopes to pass the Alcohol Reform Bill before the general election despite its report back to Parliament being delayed.

New concerns about alcohol and young people have emerged after the death of a King's College student at the weekend.

The Alcohol Reform Bill takes a tougher approach to alcohol, including tightening the law around the sale of alcohol to young people.

Prime Minister John Key says the Government still hopes to make progress on the bill this year.
