ACT leader Don Brash says the party still has a strong line-up of list candidates in spite of his deputy's decision to retire from Parliament.

John Boscawen on Saturday announced he will retire after the election on 26 November.

Dr Brash told Q + A on Television New Zealand on Sunday that he will be sorry to see Mr Boscawen go.

He said the party's board will meet next week to look at how to fill Mr Boscawen's second spot on its list.
