Industrial action by pilots in Nelson has been avoided following negotiations on Friday with their employer, Air Nelson.
The Air New Zealand subsidiary and pilots first met to negotiate terms and conditions in February and reached an agreement in July.
A spokesperson for the AirLine Pilots' Association says the company had been holding off finalising the documents for the agreement, and pilots were intending to protest for five days next week.
The spokesperson says all bargaining has now been finalised and there will be no industrial action.
