A 20-year-old man has suffered serious injuries after getting his left hand caught in a meat processing machine in the Waikato town of Te Kuiti.
The man, an engineer, was working on the machine when the incident occurred at the Te Kuiti Meats processing plant on Monday.
He was taken to Waikato Hospital by helicopter.
A hospital spokesperson says the man is still being assessed, but his condition is stable.
