Power has been restored to more than 600 households in the Dunedin suburbs of Northeast Valley and Mount Cargill.
The suburbs were without power for 10 minutes between 12pm and 1pm on Wednesday and then again from 1.10pm until just after 3pm due to lines being down.
A spokesperson for utilities company Delta says a faults response team worked to restore power as soon as possible to householders.
