A Rotorua woman has pleaded guilty to the murder of Michelle Hoffman-Tamm
Gwenda Sloane, 44, was initially charged with assault but that was later upgraded to murder.
In the Rotorua District Court on Wednesday she admitted killing Ms Hoffman-Tamm, whose body was found last month in forest in Bay of Plenty.
The 51-year-old was last seen leaving home on her mountain bike on 7 November to visit friends. Her body was found by police 16 days later in forest just off State Highway 38 about 10km from Murupara.
Ms Sloane, also also known by her married name of Gwenda Pluss, will be sentenced in February.
