Police have named a woman found dead on the beach at Arkles Bay, on Auckland's Whangaparaoa Peninsula.
She was Katherine Bennett, 50, who lived at Arkles Bay.
Her body was found on Monday morning
Police are investigating the circumstances of her death.
They say the cause remains unexplained, and they are keeping an open mind to all possibilities.
People who saw any suspicious activity in or around the McKenzie Avenue, Margaret Place, or Arkles Strand between Sunday night - Monday morning have been asked to contact police.
