North Shore homicide inquiry scaled back

8:51 pm on 1 February 2013

Police have scaled back a homicide investigation launched after the disappearance of a North Shore woman.

Bin Chen, also known as Cissy, was last seen at her home in Torbay on 5 November last year.

A 40-strong team was initially working on the case, but that has been decreased to four investigators.

Detective Inspector Bruce Scott says police are continuing to talk to Ms Chen's partner about the investigation, but won't say if he is considered a suspect.

Mr Scott says the file will remain open for police to carry out inquiries if any new information comes to hand.
