A homicide investigation has been launched into the death of a Ngaruawahia man following a post-mortem.
Police were called to a rural property near the Waikato town on Sunday morning where they discovered the body of a 44-year-old man.
A 38-year-old Hamilton man appeared in court on Monday charged with assault.
Police are speaking to people who were at the property at the time to establish how the man died.
