An elderly man has died and three other people are injured after a bus crash in South Auckland.
Police say the bus collided with a car and a tree on Hill Road in the suburb of Manurewa about 3.15pm on Thursday.
The 86-year-old passenger later died in Middlemore Hospital.
Two other passengers and the bus driver were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Senior Sergeant Bruce O'Brien said the serious crash unit is investigating.
He said many people living in the area came came out of their houses to help emergency services after the crash.
