The Queen Charlotte Track has been officially declared part of the Nga Haerenga - the New Zealand Cycle Trail.
The 70km route from Ship Cove to Anakiwa is a challenging off-road route offering views of the Queen Charlotte and Kenepuru Sounds in Marlborough.
On Friday, it became the 21st Great Ride in the cycle network.
