A nine-year-old boy is in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Auckland on Tuesday.
An ambulance communications centre spokesperson says the accident happened just before five o'clock on Massey Road in Mangere.
He says the boy has been taken to Middlemore Hospital and the police serious crash unit is investigating.
