A woman charged with attempted murder over a stabbing in Nelson has been remanded to a mental health unit for assessment.
A man died of stab wounds and a woman was seriously injured in the attack on 3 March.
The accused, who is in her 50s and cannot be named, was deemed sufficiently unwell to appear in the Nelson District Court on Monday.
A psychiatric evaluation will be carried out to assess her fitness to plead.
