The Transport Agency says two north-bound lanes on Auckland's northern motorway will close on Friday night so a truck can be removed.
From 10pm, the lanes between the Oteha Valley Road and Silverdale interchanges will be closed while a crane is bought in.
The truck blew a tyre and then sank in soft soil when it pulled off the motorway earlier on Friday.
Detours are in place along East Coast Bays road and the Albany Highway.
The closure is expected to be in place until about midnight.
