The body of Jeff de Moulin, 41, was discovered in the suburb of Woolston at 9am on Friday.

The officer in charge of the investigation, Detective Senior Sergeant Brian Archer, said Mr de Moulin was drinking on Thursday evening with his female partner and another man. The man has yet to be identified, and police are asking for him to come forward.

He would not say if there were any injuries, but did say the body was found in an unusual position.

A post-mortem would be carried out on Saturday.
