An Opunake man charged with murder has been remanded in custody.
Shiloh Dallas Mareikura, 33, made no appearance at New Plymouth District Court, but was remanded until 20 September by agreement with his lawyer and the judge.
He will next appear at the High Court in New Plymouth.
The charges follow the stabbing of Desroe Bishop, 37, in Opunake on Thursday, who died after he was stabbed in his home, after an argument.
A post mortem was to be held on Friday.
