Police investigating the disapperance of a missing Otago man have posted a $20,000 reward in the hope of finding him.
Simon Garrick has not been seen since October last year and police launched a homicide inquiry earlier this month.
Detective Sergeant Derek Shaw says the police hope the reward will prompt someone to come forward with information about where the 42-year-old is.
Mr Garrick has been described by police as a hard-working digger operator, but also a heavy drug user and rural burglar who moved in Otago's criminal underworld.
Mr Shaw says police are no closer to finding him and the reward may provide an incentive to come forward with information.
