Police have named a man found dead at a rural home in the Far North.
Rangi Hapi Nikara, 36, of Whangarei, was discovered at a Whananaki house at the centre of an armed offenders squad callout early on 11 October.
Police say a 50-year-old man at the property on Whananaki North Road has been questioned over the death. A scene examination has been completed.
A post-mortem has been carried out in Auckland, and the death has been referred to the coroner.
