A Coroner has told the mother and relative of a toddler, who died after being run over in a Rotorua driveway, that neither of them will be criticised by the court.

An inquest into the death of Tyrese Hill, who was 16 months old, took place in Rotorua on Thursday.

The child died when a car, driven by a relative, ran over him while reversing down a driveway on 13 March.

Police told the inquest that a boundary fence restricted vision and was a contributing factor in the death.
