Auckland police have released an identikit sketch and description of a man they are looking for in relation to an attempted sexual attack on a 14-year-old girl.

They say a the man followed the teenager along Ash Street in Avondale during the afternoon of 25 November and onto private property where an attack took place.
Police say he told the girl he was 17.
The girl described him as muscular, with crooked teeth and a discoloured upper front tooth. He was wearing a feather-type earring, mustard coloured jeans, a white singlet and plain white Air Jordan shoes.
