Police are working to identify two men after a woman was mugged at gunpoint in central Wellington on Monday and a jewellery store was robbed.
Police were called at 5pm after a woman had her purse stolen at gunpoint on Stout St. They say she wasn't harmed.
Shortly after, police received a call from a jewellery store, Walker and Hall, saying a man had stolen a range of jewellery.
Police say they believe two males are involved and that the incidents are related.
Detectives will be reviewing CCTV footage from the area.
They are also looking for a 1990 grey Daihatsu Charade with a small dent in the right-hand door and a registration plate of PR1574.
