An 87-year-old Hamilton woman has died after being hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing at a shopping centre in the city this morning.
Police said the woman was pushing a shopping trolley when she was hit at the carpark in suburban Rototuna.
She suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital in a critical condition but died a short time later.
