A Christchurch court has suppressed the name of a 22-year-old woman facing a murder charge, one day after a man's body was discovered in the Christchurch suburb of Bryndwr.

The woman's lawyer, Liz Bulger, said the dead man had not yet been formally identified, and not all of his next of kin have been informed.
She said it would be undesirable if his family found out by hearing the accused woman's name in the media.
Ms Bulger also said she had concerns about the woman's mental health.
The woman will reappear in the High Court in Christchurch on 16 May.
