The murder trial of a Christchurch man has been adjourned, but the reasons have been suppressed.
Tim Foley is charged with the murder of Michelle Mary Lawrence, who died in hospital of severe head injuries in 2012. Police say the 52-year-old beat her to death at her Linwood home.
It is the fourth time the trial has been adjourned since Mr Foley was charged.
Justice Whata has apologised to the family of Ms Lawrence and said next time the matter is set down the trial would be heard.
The trial is set to resume in October.
