Police are are looking for witnesses after a fatal hit and run in Tauranga.
A man was struck by a black Subaru on Welcome Bay Road about 11pm on Monday and died as a result of his injuries, police said.
Area commander Inspector Clifford Paxton said the vehicle left the scene but had since been found.
Officers were speaking to several people and were seeking witnesses to the crash.
Traffic was being diverted from part of Welcome Bay Road while a scene examination took place. The road has since full re-opened.
