Thirty-five people have been arrested after a week-long anti-drug operation in Wellington.

Methamphetamine, also known as "P", and other drugs were seized during Operation Mamba.

Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Hampton says one of the most concerning aspects of the operation was a pre-schooler at a house in the suburb of Newlands where a clandestine lab was found.

He says five referrals were made to Child, Youth and Family during the operation.

A seizure of methamphetamine and other drugs at Wellington airport about two weeks ago was also part of Operation Mamba.
