A boy missing in Northland has drowned.
Police were alerted to the missing child, aged four years, at about 10pm on Saturday, by family who were at a gathering in Moerewa.
The boy went missing near the Otiria marae. Family member Jackie Brown says many people joined in the search.
The body was found in a pool at about 11.30am on Sunday by a commercial diver.
