A car crash has closed State Highway 25 south of Coromandel and motorists are being advised of possible delays.
A car crashed just north of Manaia, about two hours ago.
The sole occupant of the car was flown to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition.
A section of the highway about one and a half kilometres north of Goldfields Road in Manaia is closed.
The police say no detours are available and motorists should expect delays.
