Residents in Levin and surrounding areas are being advised to boil their water, after heavy rain disrupted the town's water supply.
The Horowhenua District Council issued the precautionary notice for properties on the town water supply.
It says the recent heavy rain has adversely affected the performance of the water treatment plant supplying these areas.
The council says residents should continue to boil their water until next Monday, when the warning is expected to be lifted.
