Police say DNA testing has confirmed a body found in a burning car near Rotorua was that of a woman and the death is not suspicious.
The body was discovered in the car in a small forestry block on Tumunui Road, south of Rotorua, on 30 April.
The woman had been reported missing by family and friends.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Loper says the case has been referred to the coroner.
