A man has suffered serious burns to his body when an LPG bottle exploded in the West Coast town of Hokitika.
The Ambulance service was called to a property in Livingstone Street about 4pm on Sunday.
A spokesperson says 30% of the man's body was burned, including his stomach, arms, hands and thighs.
The man has been flown to Grey base hospital in Greymouth.
