Demonstrators who briefly staged a protest on the Auckland Harbour Bridge against deep-sea oil drilling have been arrested.
A police spokesperson says five men and two women stopped a car on the city-bound side of the bridge at about 8.30am on Monday and attempted to hang a Māori flag off the bridge.
Police say the incident was resolved in about 20 minutes and the demonstrators co-operated with them.
They have been charged with unlawfully being on the bridge.
They will appear in the North Shore District Court on Friday.
