Man dead after fire at apartment complex

A man in his 40s has died following a fire at the Arlington Apartments in Wellington.
Emergency services were called to the Mt Cook suburb about 6.15pm on Wednesday where police say a man was found unconscious in the carpark area of the complex.
CPR was performed but the man died at the scene.
The fire has been put out, however cordons remain in place around the area as police and fire officers investigate the incident.
The death is being treated as unexplained at this stage.
