Police in Whangaparaoa say they hold genuine concerns for the safety of a 65-year-old man who has been missing since Wednesday.
James Grimm was last seen walking in Orewa two days ago.
Police say he often catches the bus from Orewa to Auckland City and it's believed he is in one of those areas.
Mr Grimm is described as being about 184 centimetres tall, of slim build, with an American accent.
